Woodworking professionals across North America agree:
SawStop is not only the safest, but also one of the highest
quality saws they have ever used.
"We had an employee make a mistake while cutting a board on the SawStop Industrial Cabinet Saw. Her finger was pulled into the blade at a high rate of speed.
She has a chunk of skin missing on the end of her finger. However, the bone, nerves and fingernail are all intact. We put a bandaid on it and she is out working. We have had two saws about three years and today they paid for themselves. I love the saw for its convenient features as well as safety. The shutoff paddle is located perfectly.
I also like a lot of other simple and thoughtful features that are built in to the machine.

“I purchased the SawStop contractor's saw this weekend and just wanted to share a few quick comments.
1. The instructions for this tool are excellent. They have exactly the right amount of information and images.
The step by step breakdown of assembly made putting the saw together quite easy.
2. The quality. Having previously lost a finger tip, the only way my wife would allow another table saw in the shop was if it was a SawStop. Because I know the issue with the other saw was the user (I would guess most accidents are caused by that guy), I was more concerned with the quality of the saw, not just the safety features. I could not be happier. This is a beefy, solid saw with far more luxury than many would expect from a "contractor's saw".
3. Out of the box: Wow. I don't know how much of this is effort and how much is luck, but once I set my saw up I was impressed to find that in virtually every way it was already dialed in...from the fence being aligned perfectly, to the 0 degree setting for the blade being absolutely spot on. I've never had less time getting a saw tuned.”
Doug H. – Illinois
"I was cutting an angle on a piece, trying to make a non-through cut, but I had set the blade too high. The blade went through the piece and hit my finger. It barely broke the skin. I probably wouldn’t have lost my finger on another saw, but it definitely would have been a lot worse."
Brian S. – Minnesota
"As the store manager, I found the first benefit to be lower Workers’ Compensation insurance premiums – that alone is enough.
Now that we have had a finger save, we are more than happy that our employee just has a small nick on his thumb and not a more serious injury. In the past we have had lost fingers, severe damage to a hand and missing finger pads.
We lost no production time due to the SawStop.

"I was almost done making 450 repetitive cuts using a ¾ inch dado. After about four hours of cutting, I only had three boards remaining to cut. My index finger slipped into the blade. It didn’t even require a bandage. Without the SawStop system, I would have had to go to the emergency room."
Jody C. – Mississippi
"I have been a wood worker for thirty years. I have owned a Saw Stop for three years. It is the finest saw I have ever owned. The machining and quality were incomparable. I recommend this truly-made, heavy-duty cabinet saw to anyone who will listen."
Michael C. – Massachussetts
“We are very impressed with the safety and security that the saws provide. Because of the safety features on the saws, we are more comfortable with training a wider base of operators and as a result we have gained better efficiency, in our manufacturing. To add to that, among our employees are our friends and family, and we, as employers, can rest easier knowing we have safer machinery. All around they have been a great company to work with.”
Craig K. - Utah
“SawStop saved my finger, allowed me to avoid a costly trip to the hospital and saved my employer money”
Steve M. – Kansas
“Pretty amazing that I only had to put on a band-aid. The Saw reacted so quickly that I didn’t even know what had happened. Saved my thumb from a serious injury and saved my company lots of money.”
Robert S. – Oregon
“It is sure going to be nice having my finger, even my entire hand. I am very grateful
this saw was installed.”
Justin R. – Utah
"I didn’t even know I touched the blade until it was all over. Thanks to SawStop, there wasn’t even a scratch. I’ve been cut before by a table saw and it’s amazing how fast it cuts you. I would recommend SawStop to anyone."
Chris L. – Utah
“Edgar Noyola just nicked his finger while using the saw. The blade did EXACTLY what you designed it to do. Edgar wants me to thank you for your invention. Thanks for a product that adds value to our business.”
Terry R. - Washington
“We lost a thumb and a finger before our first SawStop. We know how quick injury can occur. As soon as our SawStop was set up, I contacted a representative from our workers’ comp to view our SawStop. Our new policy came out about three months later and our premium stayed the same. The most important aspect is the two finger saves since purchasing our saw. We have 14 employees and lapses in judgment are bound to occur. We will definitely build our future growth around any and all SawStop products.”
Bob M. - Arkansas
“Thank you SawStop for saving my finger! I play guitar often and without my index finger I would be lost. Although I am right handed, my left hand plays a [more important] role in my guitar playing. Having the SawStop system at my job reduces the stress level and adds a sense of security. Knowing that errors will be made and that accidents happen...having SawStop allows for these circumstances without major physical injury.”
David A. – Georgia
“We are pleased (and one of us EXTREMELY relieved) to tell you that we had our first “save” yesterday after a year of having two SawStop saws in our shop. The guy that was using it came to let me know how much he appreciated my investment in that saw. Once I figured out what he was talking about, I immediately wanted to see the damage. He was very pleased to show me that it was not much worse than a utility knife cut. He was able to put on a band-aid and go back to work. That single “save” just paid for both saws that we bought with the savings in workers comp premiums that would have resulted. Thanks SawStop!!”
Jason Hall – Utah
“The pass was quick and the blade stopped immediately. I’ve heard how a blade can pull fingers and hands down [into the spinning blade] but with SawStop, the blade stopped before I even realized I had touched the blade. I received no injury whatsoever. I really was amazed at how quickly and safely the blade was stopped!”
Timothy A. – Utah
“I purchased my saws because I believe in safety – after all, exactly how much is a severed finger (or worse) worth in today’s litigious society? Certainly several times the cost of a SawStop brand table saw. I replaced 2 perfectly serviceable, well known name brand saws, all in the interest of safety and corporate responsibility.”
“My question is: When is the rest of the industry going to wake up? How many more disfigurements, amputations or worse, are going to happen for the sake of saving a few dollars?”
Vic N. - Florida
“It can happen to anyone…even us experienced guys.”
"I was cutting some 1 ¼” oak on my new SawStop cabinet saw. At the same time, I was keeping an eye on a new employee who was working on the planer. After cutting part way through, I realized the blade wasn’t set high enough and I pushed down on the wood to make the blade go through. Because I was still watching the guy on the planer, I didn’t even notice when the blade popped through the wood and my finger ran right into it. I wasn’t paying attention and I made a mistake. Fortunately, the SawStop safety system did its job and it barley cut into a callous on my finger. I didn’t even need a bandage. SawStop saved my finger!”
Joel Brinkman – Illinois
“Five years ago, one of my employees, a kid, mangled three of his fingers while working on our table saw. The dado set chewed through his fingers like a hamburger grinder and crushed his bones. Two years later, another employee was working on table saw and some stacked material fell over and pushed his hand into the blade and cut off one of his fingers.”
“The worst part isn’t the fact that my worker’s comp premiums doubled from $18,000 to $36,000 in a two year period, or the fact that OSHA can come by anytime they want, or that work productivity goes down and business suffers. The worst part is the guilt of knowing that you sent a kid to the hospital. The guilt that you feel knowing that this kid’s life has changed, that he is suffering and that you have sent him out into the world without the use of three fingers for the rest of his life. I don’t want people working for me with stubs.”
“When I saw your cabinet saw demonstration I bought one. It is awesome!
Jerry K. – California
