"We had an employee make a mistake while cutting a board on the SawStop Industrial Cabinet Saw. Her finger was pulled into the blade at a high rate of speed.
She has a chunk of skin missing on the end of her finger. However, the bone, nerves and fingernail are all intact. We put a bandaid on it and she is out working. We have had two saws about three years and today they paid for themselves. I love the saw for its convenient features as well as safety. The shutoff paddle is located perfectly.
I also like a lot of other simple and thoughtful features that are built in to the machine.

"I was cutting an angle on a piece, trying to make a non-through cut, but I had set the blade too high. The blade went through the piece and hit my finger. It barely broke the skin. I probably wouldn’t have lost my finger on another saw, but it definitely would have been a lot worse."

"As the store manager, I found the first benefit to be lower Workers’ Compensation insurance premiums – that alone is enough.
Now that we have had a finger save, we are more than happy that our employee just has a small nick on his thumb and not a more serious injury. In the past we have had lost fingers, severe damage to a hand and missing finger pads.
We lost no production time due to the SawStop.

"I was almost done making 450 repetitive cuts using a ¾ inch dado. After about four hours of cutting, I only had three boards remaining to cut. My index finger slipped into the blade. It didn’t even require a bandage. Without the SawStop system, I would have had to go to the emergency room."

“We are very impressed with the safety and security that the saws provide. Because of the safety features on the saws, we are more comfortable with training a wider base of operators and as a result we have gained better efficiency, in our manufacturing. To add to that, among our employees are our friends and family, and we, as employers, can rest easier knowing we have safer machinery. All around they have been a great company to work with.”
Craig K. – Utah
“I am a safety consultant for many lumber dealers in California and one of my client’s employees who was using your saw just became very satisfied when an employee put his finger into the blade and he was barely nicked. Thanks.”
Eric T. – California
“A true sign of the worth of a company is the value it places in its employees. As a responsible employer, we need to have safety as a number one priority. Every so often some forward thinking individual creates a solution to a safety issue that we as employers need to have and can simply buy.”
“Over the years we have had several severe injuries on table saws. When we became aware of the Saw Stop technology, we couldn’t buy it quickly enough. Thanks to SawStop we have already saved what would have been total amputation
of most of a thumb.”
“You can have all the safety meetings you want and try to instill a conscious thought process in employees working around hazardous machines, but the bottom line is usually a distracted moment that results in injury. The usual comment is how dumb the moment was, but you can’t fix dumb, and the last time we went looking for an amputated thumb to send to a hospital it had gone up the vacuum. All of us at Pacific Pine Products, Inc. are your biggest fans-keep up the good work.”
Roger L. – Oregon
“I bought two SawStop saws to replace my Unisaws. The saws are first rate, well made and stout. Yesterday, one of my longest serving employees, who has been with the company for almost twenty years, with no accidents, ran his thumb into the blade. If he had been using a conventional saw he would have destroyed his hand. He’s still shaking his head. So there you have it. I can say my money is well spent.”
Rick T. – New Mexico
“(Our company) recently purchased a SawStop table saw and I am pleased to inform you that we have had great success with your product. Without this amazing technology, we would have suffered not only one but two potentially serious injuries. Thanks to the SawStop, neither of the incidents was severe and no injuries were rendered. Our company just wanted to take the time to thank you for manufacturing safer equipment, in turn reducing the risk of serious injury at our facility. Thank you.”
